St. Catherine’s Island Field Trip

Experience St. Catherine’s Island by exploring the beaches and marshes on this hidden gem along Georgia’s coast. One of the most difficult islands in Georgia to gain access to, St. Catherine’s has a rich history. Learn about it’s amazing research, check out it’s unique wildlife, both native and non-native, including free range ring-tailed lemurs, and much more!

Trip Details:
o We will be departing at 7:30 am from the St Catherine's Dock near Midway Georgia.
Direstions:
Get off at the Midway exit (Islands HWY), make a right on to King's Road, right onto Camelia rd.
182 Camelia Rd.

There is a little St. Catherinesisland foundation sticker on the box and if I remember correctly, one of the mailboxes looks like a log cabin.
o The boat will be leaving for St. Catherine’s Island at ~ 7:30am and returning by ~ 5pm
o You will need to bring your own lunch, water, and snacks for all day, as nothing will be provided or available for purchase.
o Things to be prepared for and bring: no restrooms or water available on island, be dressed for all weather possibilities and to be outside all day, and be prepared to see lots of camera and possibly binocular-worthy things.
