Due to ongoing concerns over COVID-19, we have chosen to hold our first ever virtual ocean exploration event! Admission to this online event is provided free of charge to all current members. In addition to virtually exploring our ocean your member benefits afford you a discount to upcoming field trips, workshops and other fun filled activities.
When you renew or become a new member, your member benefits last until November 2021 when we will be celebrating 30 years of GAME! During our virtual event, we will be kicking off a fantastic 30 Things to Do with GAME, a series of actions and activities to celebrate marine education in Georgia.
The week long 2020 Virtual Event: Exploring the World's Ocean Habitats will take place during the week of November 9-13, 2020. Each event will be held after school hours so as to best accommodate live attendance. However, sessions will also be recorded and available to current members to view at their leisure.

Monday, 6 pm-7:30 pm: HQ Reef Aquarium Virtual Dive at the Great Barrier Reef
Tuesday, 4-6:30 pm: Welcome, Member Meeting, Awards Presentation: Using VR Technology to explore from the classroom
Wednesday 4-5:30 pm: RV Joides Resolution, Ship-to-Shore: Sub-seafloor Observatories
Thursday 4-6:30 pm: Explore our National Marine Sanctuaries: Channel Islands and Grays Reef
Friday 4-6:30 pm: Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant present Virtual K-12 School Program and Closing Event: 30 Things to Do with GAME, preview upcoming year
This year's teacher resource give away will be a virtual VR viewer. This can be mailed to each new or renewed member to allow participants to engage in virtual online sessions. Links to online teaching resources will also be shared to allow use with student distance learning opportunities.
We are also excited to kick off a 30th Anniversary Party all year long for GAME, starting this November 2020 until November 2021. The 30 Things to Do with GAME campaign will last all year long. Prizes will be available at our 2021 conference for those who check off the most on their 30 Things list. Some activities will be field trips, community events, and social media events to celebrate 30 years with GAME. One of the first 30 Things you can check off your list is to purchase a 30th Anniversary t-shirt! This can be added onto your virtual registration and will then be mailed to you.
