Adopt-A-Wetland Training- 2019Learn about the importance of wetlands, local projects to improve water quality in Hinesville, and how to become a coastal steward in our Adopt-A-Wetland training. Activities include a presentation on water quality and sampling techniques, short certification quiz and demonstration at the nearby lake. After completing the training, attendees will be certified Adopt-A-Wetland volunteers, and can collect data to submit to the Georgia Adopt-A-Stream online database maintained by the GA Environmental Protection Division.

Please bring a pen or pencil, water and snack, and dress appropriately for the weather. We will be spending some time outside during our demonstration.

Location: Marine Education Center and Aquarium (MECA)

Costs: Free for GAME members & $10 for non-GAME members

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
