GAME envisions a collaborative community of educators, scientists, and concerned citizens. The group provides networking opportunities for its members, equips educators to teach marine science concepts more effectively, and celebrates the wonder of the aquatic systems of Georgia.

    Registration is ending soon for our annual conference! Don't miss out on special presentations from J Michael Williamson, founder of WhaleNet, and our keynote speaker Alan Robertson, Coastal Resilience Manager for the city of Tybee.

    Courtyard Marriott will cater our conference on Friday night and Saturday breakfast/lunch. Be sure to stay through Saturday evening, GAME will host the Ron DuBose Low Country Boil on the South Dune Pavilions followed by the ever popular silent auction!

    Sign ups are live for field trips and can be found on our registration page.

    Registration is limited to 100. Registration ends November 1, 2025.

    Water Chemistry

    The Chemical Monitoring Workshop is designed to teach volunteers about basic stream water chemistry and how to conduct various chemical tests using hand-held field equipment. The basic set of tests include dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH, and temperature. Volunteers who collect data within 10% accuracy and pass the written test with a score of 80% or better will be certified to conduct chemical monitoring.

    Guided Bike Tour

    Richard Chewning, 4-H Camp Jekyll Center Director, will lead participants on a guided bike tour.

    shorebird walk

    Join Allie Hayser, shorebird biologist, on an exploratory walk. Identify the different species and discuss how changing climate and coastlines affect these birds.





GAME strives to:

  • Help educators motivate students using marine and water-related topics in science as well as in math, language arts, social studies, and the fine arts.

  • Stimulate communication among all persons interested in preserving the marine environment.

  • Provide opportunities for personal and professional development.

  • Provide opportunities for the study of aquatic environments.

  • Provide field trips, conferences, workshops, and access to marine resources in Georgia.

  • Promote continuity between inland and coastal education and natural resource communities.

  • Promote the mission and work of GAME's parent organization, National Marine Educators Association.
